Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Role Responsibility

Invicta Law’s Child Protection group prides itself on providing comprehensive and proactive advice, and support at competitive rates to local authority clients in all areas of child protection law. We have two exciting opportunities to join our expanding team of experienced professionals.

These roles are fully remote and have the ability for the right candidates to live and work almost anywhere in the UK with some flexibility in working hours. There is also an expert IT support team available to offer remote technical support.

Due to the team’s growing workload, we are looking for two qualified Solicitors or Lawyers to play a vital role in helping to deliver high-quality and value for money advice to key clients. Expert administrative support is on offer from a team of Legal Assistants and Secretaries to allow you to focus on a varying and engaging caseload, including some advocacy in the Family Courts before magistrates and judges.

The successful candidates will have at least 6 months experience in key areas of child protection law, and ideally have experience of working for a local authority. They will have the ability to manage their own caseloads and work effectively to high professional standards, including being able to respond quickly and accurately to urgent matters and deadlines.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Represent Invicta Law and other clients before tribunals, courts, and meetings.

- Work with the team and advise upon all aspects of the Child Protection work.

- Provide advice to Invicta Law’s other expert teams as necessary.

- Some supervision for the preparation and conduct of a full caseload of public childcare law proceedings.

- Must be able to quickly take on a busy caseload with minimal supervision

- Build strong and positive relationships with clients

- Time record accurately and manage time efficiently

- Maintain SRA standards and ethics at all times
